Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Onboardi.ai, an AI-powered onboarding assistant that helps SaaS products support their users through automated chat. Onboardi.ai is operated by Konstantin Grigoryan, a sole proprietor based in the Republic of Armenia.

By creating an account or using Onboardi.ai, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Is Onboardi.ai

Onboardi.ai is a service that automatically crawls your website, builds a knowledge base from your content, and deploys an AI chat widget on your site. The widget answers your users' questions based on that knowledge base. You manage everything through an admin dashboard — your knowledge base, chat history, widget appearance, and more.

In these Terms, "you" and "Customer" refer to the person or entity that creates an Onboardi.ai account and embeds the widget. "End Users" are the visitors on your website who interact with the widget. "We", "us", and "our" refer to Onboardi.ai.

Agreeing to These Terms

By signing up for an account, embedding the widget on your website, or otherwise using the service, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
• You have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of your organization, if applicable.
• You will comply with all applicable laws while using Onboardi.ai.

If you are using Onboardi.ai on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Your Account

You need an account to use Onboardi.ai. You can sign up using Google OAuth or email.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at [email protected].

One person or entity per account. Accounts are non-transferable. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

What You Can Do with Onboardi

With an Onboardi.ai account, you can:

• Create AI agents that crawl your website and build a knowledge base.
• Embed the Onboardi.ai chat widget on websites you own or control.
• Manage your knowledge base — add, edit, or remove content.
• View chat sessions and unanswered questions from your end users.
• Customize the widget's appearance to match your website.

You may use the service for any lawful purpose that is consistent with these Terms.

What You Cannot Do

You agree not to:

• Use Onboardi.ai for any unlawful purpose or to promote illegal activities.
• Embed the widget on websites you do not own or have authorization to modify.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of Onboardi.ai.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, its servers, or connected networks.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from Onboardi.ai (the service itself, not your own data).
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service without our written permission.
• Misrepresent Onboardi.ai's AI-generated responses as human-written professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.).
• Deliberately input harmful, illegal, or misleading content into the knowledge base.
• Bypass rate limits or usage restrictions through technical means.

AI-Generated Content

Onboardi.ai uses AI to generate responses based on your knowledge base. This is important to understand:

Accuracy is not guaranteed. AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. The quality of responses depends heavily on the quality and completeness of your knowledge base.

You are responsible for your knowledge base. The AI assistant is only as good as the content you provide. We recommend reviewing your knowledge base regularly and monitoring unanswered questions to fill gaps.

AI responses are not professional advice. Responses generated by Onboardi.ai should not be treated as legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice — neither by you nor by your end users.

General knowledge mode. If you enable the "Allow general knowledge" setting, the AI may answer questions using knowledge beyond your website content. These responses include a visible disclaimer. You acknowledge that general knowledge responses are less predictable and may not reflect your product accurately.

Your Content and Data

You own your content. You retain full ownership of all content you provide to Onboardi.ai, including your website content, custom knowledge base entries, and any other materials you upload or input.

License to operate. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating Onboardi.ai — specifically, to crawl your pages, build your knowledge base, generate AI responses, and show them to your end users through the widget.

No AI training. Onboardi.ai does not use your content or your users' conversations to train AI models. Your data is used exclusively to power your AI assistant.

End User data. When end users interact with the widget on your site, we collect conversation data and, optionally, their email address (when the AI cannot answer a question). You are responsible for informing your end users about the presence of the AI widget and any data collection that occurs, in accordance with your own privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.

Intellectual Property

Our IP. Onboardi.ai, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property, belongs to us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the service as described here.

Your IP. You retain full ownership of all content you provide to Onboardi.ai, including your website content and custom knowledge base entries. We claim no ownership over your content.

Widget branding. The Onboardi.ai widget may include a small "Powered by Onboardi.ai" attribution. You agree not to remove or obscure this attribution unless your plan specifically permits it.

Third-Party Services

Onboardi.ai relies on third-party services to operate, including but not limited to cloud hosting providers, AI model providers (such as OpenAI), and database services. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of these third-party services.

You acknowledge that AI responses are generated using third-party AI models. While we select and configure these models carefully, we do not control their underlying behavior. Our Privacy Policy describes how data flows through these services.

Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Onboardi.ai available around the clock, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Downtime may occur due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the service at any time. If we make changes that significantly affect your use of the service, we will notify you in advance through your registered email address or through the admin dashboard.

Termination

By you. You can close your Onboardi.ai account at any time. When you do, we stop serving your widget and delete your data within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, use the service in a way that harms other users or the platform, or if we are required to do so by law. We will attempt to notify you before or at the time of termination, except where prohibited by law or where immediate action is necessary.

Effect of termination. Upon termination, your right to use Onboardi.ai ends immediately. Your widget stops functioning, and we begin the data deletion process described above. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — such as Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law — continue to apply.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Onboardi.ai is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service's fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or availability.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Onboardi.ai. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or damage to your reputation arising from AI-generated content.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through the courts of the Republic of Armenia.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page and notify you via email or through the admin dashboard.

Your continued use of Onboardi.ai after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you may close your account.
